Dreams and visions.  Unusual “coincidences”.  Bibles.  The preaching of the Gospel.  In the video, “Jesus in Athens,” these are all part of God’s activity to bring Muslims (and others from the Middle East) into a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ.  But another key element God is using to reach the “unreached,” is kindness. A follower or followers of Jesus meeting needs in the name of Jesus..  A meal.  Transportation.  Medical care.  An attentive ear.  Cleaning a commode. A game of backgammon.  The Fulness of Grace and Truth, speaking in words AND action,  The results are remarkable!

I have watched this video several times.  Several things come to mind. People in Yoakum have the same need for Jesus as the refugees in Athens. The same God at work in Athens is at work in Yoakum.  The Lord is bringing a certain group of people, refugees from the Middle East, in relatively larger numbers, to the church in Athens.  God is bringing a certain group of people, children in Yoakum, in relatively large numbers, to a part of the church in Yoakum.  For over a decade, God has poured “little refugees” into our laps at 202 Dunn Street on Wednesday nights.  They have been fed, taught and loved.  God’s work here is not as spectacular as what is being reported in Athens, but it is no less significant.  Would you please pray about your involvement in AWANA this year?
